William Amor: the man who transforms plastic into flowers
William Amor, a visual artist, transforms plastic into a noble material and turns it into flowers. He has just been awarded the Emerging Talent prize, in the category of artistic crafts, by the Grands Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris. And he has already seduced big names in the luxury industry.
Because he does not look at the world the same way as others, William Amor focused one day on a plastic bag. He saw in it the transparency, the gracefulness and the lightness of the petals of a flower. "I come from the countryside. I have always been inspired by nature. Then, I arrived in Paris and I met a plastic bag! he says with a smile. Of those that were thrown everywhere in the years 2000 and 2010 when there were fewer regulations than now.
