Interview with PÖPPELMANN

Interview with PÖPPELMANN

What are the strengths of your company?

Our employees' skills enable us to exceed our customers' quality requirements. The diversity of our activities and our customers allows us to establish a sustainable base whatever the economic context. A powerful and constantly renewed machine park allows us to remain at the top of the technology.

What actions are you implementing for sustainable development?

The Pöppelmann Blue® concept enables us to offer our customers a wide range of products made from recycled plastic that is fully in line with a circular economy. Our know-how in lightweighting plastic parts gives us a competitive advantage. We invest in equipment and facilities with a constant concern for energy savings.

In fact, we have obtained the MoRe (Mobilized to Recycle) label for 2019.

How do you see the evolution of your profession?

The evolution is focused on taking into account the company's development strategy. HR processes are evolving with the strong evolution of the legal context and the digital transformation. The quality of life at work must, in our opinion, also be at the center of our thinking.

Où sont situés vos marchés ?

Plastiques Pöppelmann France delivers to customers in France and throughout Europe, but also in Asia and South America.
The customers of the Rixheim site for horticultural pottery products are French, our customers related to the automotive sector are much more international.

What are your outstanding innovations?

For three years now, the Rixheim site has been the Pöppelmann Group's center of expertise in bi-material silicone production, which enables us to supply the automotive sector with parts intended mainly for applications related to electric mobility.

The Pöppelmann Blue mentioned above is an innovation of the Pöppelmann Group's R&D department. This concept, first developed for the horticultural industry, is now also being deployed on our standard range of caps and plugs. We can also develop customer-specific parts using these recycled materials.

What are the organizational changes in your company?

The organization of the company affects the different facets of the development of skills. At Pöppelmann, jobs are becoming increasingly complex and technical. The use and mastery of new knowledge and skills implies a strong need for versatility in the work situation.
