As a specialist in plastics converting, the PÖPPELMANN Group will be present at the 2024 edition of FIP – France Innovation Plasturgie. On this occasion, we propose you a journey to the heart of the know-how of this organization which has influenced the industry for more than 70 years. You will also understand the importance of sustainability in their solutions and the need for the group to be present at the FIP in 2024.
What is the Pöppelmann Group and what are its strengths?
The Pöppelmann Group is one of the leading players in the world of plastics converting. With 70 years of experience, 6 production sites and 700 injection molding machines, thermoforming machines and extruders, the innovative family-owned company develops products for various sectors of activity: automotive, electrical, solar, machine and device manufacturing, etc. Pöppelmann France, a subsidiary of the group based in Alsace, develops, produces and markets various solutions for industrial protection and the production of customized technical plastic parts.
Based on our customers’ requirements and our expertise in sustainable solutions, we develop future-oriented and environmentally friendly concepts. With the PÖPPELMANN blue® initiative, we want to implement a circular economy approach by promoting recycling and encouraging a closed material cycle.
Our customer relationship is at the core of our business and we want this presence at the FIP to meet and exchange with visitors and customers.
How are the current challenges in the plastics industry changing the demands you receive?
Plastics are extremely valuable and the sector is becoming increasingly controversial. Regulations are being tightened to reduce the amount of plastic waste dispersed into the environment. The demands are evolving towards more and more eco-designed products with a reduced impact.
Pöppelmann relies on eco-design defined by the 3Rs: reduce, reuse, recycle.
- Reduce the use of plastic in the final part through design and process such as the use of MuCell®.
- Reuse the final part when use allows it.
- Recycle the used product and reuse the recycled material to create new products.
You will be present at FIP in 2024, what new solutions will visitors discover on your booth?
At FIP 2024, we will present our new standard range of protectors made mainly of recycled material that meets the technical constraints of manufacturers. We will also present our mastered technologies to meet the objectives of reducing the carbon footprint of companies
