What are the strengths of your company?
Specializing in the development of bio-based and biodegradable materials for 20 years, Vegeplast now produces VEGEMAT®, the raw material that definitively ends the use of fossil-based plastics. Vegeplast focuses on the development and production of compostable, bio-based, innovative, and environmentally friendly raw materials.
Where are your markets located (geographically)?
They are mainly located in France and Europe. We also serve Australia and South Africa.

How is the circular economy integrated into your company? Do you have any notable achievements to share with us?
Our material is mainly composed of cereal flour, which is processed and transformed into VEGEMAT®. Our materials comply with industrial composting standards, and are therefore used by agricultural cooperatives that turn them into fertilizer for farmers.
Over the past 10 years, we have produced coffee capsules compatible with Nespresso machines. This capsule has been one of our notable achievements for the circular economy. Furthermore, we continue to innovate, and after more than 8 years of research, we are now manufacturing the Biotray®, a 100% biodegradable food tray that will soon be available on the market.
